Boy do I love stripes on uniforms. This jersey was gifted to me by the man himself. No he didn't play for the Leafs at this time but was VP of Hockey Operations for the Maple Leafs and all the executives got a jersey for the event. The Winter Classic is an annual game played outdoors every year on New Years Day. The 2014 Winter Classic would be played at Michigan Stadium where the Maple Leafs would go on to defeat the home team Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in a shootout. The other exciting part about this game is that the Red Wings wore a red uniform making this a color vs color game which looked amazing. This game was the most attended NHL game in history and second most attended hockey game in the world just behind Michigan and Michigan State who also played in this arena. This jersey would be based off the Leafs 1927-30 home jersey and would only be worn once for this game.
