It's hard to pass up on good deals and it's even harder to not get more Versteeg jerseys. The Norfolk admirals were founded in 2000-01 after acquiring the ECHL Hampton Roads Admirals. They would become the affiliate of the Blackhawks until 2007. They would then become the affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning where John Cooper would set a record breaking season, winning 28 games in a row and winning the Calder Cup in 2011-12. In 2015, the Anaheim Ducks would buy the team and relocate them to San Diego to become the Gulls. The Admirals would come back to Norfolk with the purchase of the ECHL Bakersfield Condors. The Admirals would remain in the ECHL today. The main logo would first be a wordmark logo before changing to what we see on this jersey. The shoulder patches would be the Blackhawks main logo to show their affiliation and an anchor. The affiliated logo would be updated to the Lightning until the team was bought out. The jersey style would start with the Admirals own design and color scheme, until 2004-2007 where they basically mirrored the Hawks jerseys. After 2007, the Admirals would go back to their own color scheme and style. Being a minor league team, the use of ads is allowed on jerseys with Stihl being the main sponsor. Can't really find the patch, but maybe one day!
