Jersey History
¡Viva Chile Mierda! Yes this is a positive statement and yes I am so excited to add another up and coming country to my collection. Chile joined the IIHF on September 22, 1999 and currently are an Affiliate Member. They are actually the last country to hold this title as they became a member for their inline team initially. In 2019, the IIHF eventually stopped their inline tournaments and membership now only includes Full and Associate for ice hockey. Chile has not yet been able to participate in the IIHF World Championships, but are making great strides to eventually join the IIHF Development Cup soon. For now they've been a participant in the Pan American Tournament and the ever growing Amerigol Latam Cup. This jersey was worn in the 2025 Amerigol Latam Cup Division II where the tournament would take place in Coral Springs, Florida. Chile would do well this tournament making it to the finals and even beating their eternal rivals Argentina 8-0. They were unfortunately defeated by Greece in quadruple overtime finishing the tournament with a record of 4-0-1-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L). Cuba would end up taking 3rd.

This jersey was game worn during the 2025 Amerigol Latam Cup Division II. Being fairly new to the IIHF, the jersey would not be from Tackla or Nike but would be made from a local pro shop most likely as there's no tagging or branding on the jersey.

The main crest would be the logo for Federación Chilena de Hockey en Línea y en Hielo (Chilean Ice and Inline Hockey Federation) and "CHILE" below it. Both would be sublimated onto the jersey. The Chilean flag would be sublimated on the right sleeve. The name and numbers would both be sublimated on the back and the left sleeve. The jersey style would be worn during games against Panthers Warriors winning 9-0, Lebanon winning 4-1, and Greece losing 2-3. This jersey style would be worn for tournaments just in 2025.

I've been very fortunate and so thankful to be able to connect with these organizations and players. Kevin Palma is a great ambassador for this organization on and off the ice! Born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Palma would have dual citizenship for Chile and the US. He would actually start out playing inline hockey, but would soon switch to ice. He would play through college at the club level at Florida Atlantic University where his teammate, a part of the Argentinian national team, told him Chile was going to participate in the Amerigol Latam Cup. Palma would soon after get in touch with Chile's wonderful general manager, Monica Arias, and would join the team immediately. This would be Palma's sixth time representing Chile. During the 2025 tournament, Palma would play 5 games while scoring 8 goals, 4 assists, and collecting 4 PIMs.
