100 Years Chicago Black Hawks...Blackhawks!!! I've been very fortunate to live through some great years with this team and very excited to see what they bring this season. For just this season the Blackhawks are bringing some gold for their home jerseys and will be wearing the 100th anniversary patch on their home and away jerseys. We'll see if they do anything with their other jerseys, or if the Hawks go the Bruins route I would hope for a special centennial jersey closer to the date they played their first game in the NHL. Going with the slogan of "Always an Original" included on the back neck lining, they wouldn't change up the jersey design too much. The white in the collar would go away and the neck laces would make a return to go off their 1950's look for when this style of jersey was introduced. There would be a gold outline around the main crest and the "C" in the tomahawks would also be gold instead of yellow. The back numbers would also have a gold outline and the tag at the back bottom hem would be a gold "100". They would also have each year the Hawks won a Cup on the inside of the back bottom hem. Other than that looks like no big change ups from Fanatics for their Authentic Pro style. The jerseys still included a reinforced tie down fight strap, player tracker slot, and the reinforced sleeves from the elbow to the cuff.

No major changes here either, with still having a neck line tag to denote authentics and the heat-pressed tag right below which would include a numerical size and the country of manufacturing. The hip tags included material and washing information as well as manufacture date.

No changes to the jersey models as well, the authentics would be labeled as "Authentic Pro", replicas would be labeled as "Premium", and the lowest level replica would be labeled as "Breakaway." All three tiers would be sold at Hawks retail stores. Game worn jerseys would have better labeling going forward here actually denoting when the jersey was worn and would continued to be sold through the team store and auctioned off periodically throughout the season.
In a beautiful turn of events, the Blackhawks would bring back the beloved black alternate jersey this season as well! This design would be nearly identical to the black alternates of seasons past, but would receive the Adidas/Fanatics style design. They are slated to wear these jersey seven times during the 2025-26 season.

The centennial patch would be worn on only the home and away jerseys this season. Still unsure if they'll wear the patch on their alternates. Unfortunately the home jersey would have the patch on the right shoulder because it has to make room for the...sports betting ad. Circa Sports would still be the home jersey sponsor for the Hawks this season and a black version would be worn on the alternate jerseys as well.

2025-2026: Some more changes coming from this season. With the CBA ending after this season, the league and the NHLPA would agree on a new four year extension which would include extending the regular season from 82 to 84 games starting in the 2026-27 season. NHL players would also be allowed back in the Olympics this season, with the All-Star break getting swapped out with an Olympic break in February 2026. The Utah Hockey Club would officially take on an identity this season as well being named the Utah Mammoth. The Global Series would return with the Nashville Predators taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Stockholm, Sweden on November 14 and 16, 2025. The Winter Classic would see a warm new face and a familiar face with the Florida Panthers hosting the New York Rangers at LoanDepot Park in Miami on January 2, 2026. The Stadium Series would also take place in Florida with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins at Raymond James Stadium on February 1, 2026. NHL marketing still baffles me to this day as they should just done a battle of Florida for either event. In Hawks news, Anders Sorensen would not return as the head coach and Jeff Blashill would be named as the new head coach for the season. This season would also be when the Hawks would celebrate their 100th Anniversary by introducing a special centennial themed home jersey. Still captained by Nick Foligno...will add more as the season progresses.
